Chin Hair, PCOS, and the Art of Not Wrecking Your Skin
Chin waxing is never just chin waxing. And if you have PCOS, you know that all too well.
For many of my clients, chin hair is not about vanity. It is about stubborn regrowth, irritated skin, breakouts that linger, dark marks that take their time fading, and the emotional weight of feeling like your body is not always playing fair. I’m very familiar with client’s crying and having insecurities surrounding their facial hair. PCOS-related chin hair often grows faster, darker, and coarser, and the skin underneath tends to react harder and get angry more easily.
That is where my approach is different.
I do not rush chin waxing or treat it like a throwaway add-on. Facial skin—especially hormonal skin—deserves more respect. How the skin is prepped, how the wax is applied and removed, and how the skin is cared for afterward all affect how your skin looks and feels days later, not just the moment you walk out the door.
I also understand this personally.
I live with PCOS. I know what it feels like to manage facial hair while trying to protect your skin and your confidence at the same time. That lived experience shapes how I show up for my clients. There is no awkwardness here, no minimizing, and no pressure to explain yourself. You are understood in this space.
My chin waxing services are designed to support both your skin and your peace of mind. The focus is on keeping the skin calm, reducing irritation and ingrowns, protecting against lingering discoloration, and helping your skin recover well between visits—so you feel confident instead of stressed about regrowth.
I also believe education matters. Not in an overwhelming or clinical way, but in a way that helps you understand why your skin behaves the way it does and why thoughtful technique makes a difference over time. Waxing may not change hormone patterns, but the way it is done can either support your skin or keep it stuck in a cycle of irritation.
This is a judgment-free, shame-free space.
This is informed, intentional care.
If chin hair has ever made you feel embarrassed, frustrated, or like you need to apologize for your body, know this: you are not difficult, your skin is not a problem, and you deserve a provider who truly understands the full picture. 🍑
